The BAAS (Autonomous Sound Alarm Blocks) contributes to the development of a Category C Fire Safety System (SSI) with type 2b alarm equipment (EA).
The Autonomous Audible Alarm Units are used in Establishments Receiving the Public (ERP) requiring an audible or light warning device in order to warn the occupants and quickly evacuate the building. In addition, they are designed to meet critical industry and life safety needs by signaling a tone and activating a visible and audible alert.
How does the B.A.A.S work?
When a fire starts, the automatic triggering of the sound alert by the activation of a loop, which may correspond to a floor, is carried out by starting a smoke detector or a manual starter.
Thus, the general alert is taken over to be broadcast throughout the sensitive points of the building, through the B.A.A.S.
